We had to celebrate her birthday in advance on the last day of February the ccc as I had a meeting on Monday.. Hubby took leave that day so he could join in the celebration. I didn’t want him to miss it this time as he missed the celebration last year..
We collected the cake from Swenson’s together as I managed to leave school at around 2 pm.. I got some paper plates as I totally forgot about it..
Some friends asked why I didn’t bake a cake for my girl like what I did for Jovan last year.. I really had no time as it’s the exam period and I had lots of marking to clear.. anyway, I think she’ll be happy with any princess cake we get for her.. she was the one who chose this cake..
She was over the moon when she saw me at the ccc with the cake.. I got her a change of clothes and brought along her tiara hair band..
When her classmates saw her, many commented that she was a princess that day… she smiled shyly and sweetly at the compliments.. she really looked sweet then..
Jovan had been looking forward to the celebration and joined in to sing the birthday song..
The 2kg ice cream cake was just enough for all her classmates and the teachers in the ccc.. it was difficult to cut the cake but thanks to Brenda who shared her experience with me, we prepared a metal knife..
We brought the kids back after the celebration so they could shower before we went out for dinner at Sakae Sushi, which the kids call ‘froggy froggy’.
After dinner, we bought another ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins for our second celebration at my in-laws’ place…
I’m glad she had a good time although her actual birthday was still 3 days to go..
Jovan was given an assignment to do…
We helped him a little by first bringing him down to cycle on Sunday so we could take some photos. He loves cycling and would always badger us to bring him to cycle.
The happy boy with all his protective gear. After some exercise, we went to the nearby market for dinner before we took a leisure stroll home… along the way, we stopped by a playground and took some more photos..
The vain pot wanted to pose too.. hee..
With much help from daddy, he managed to produce fairly decent piece of work…
I guess there’ll more of such activities to come.. It’s quite manageable if we’re not too busy with work. Hee..
We had an extended long weekend.. great time to bond. On Monday, we planned to bring the kids to USS, thinking that it won’t be crowded since it’s not a public holiday.
We were shocked to find that the car park was full! We then thought of plan B – the latest playground at Gardens by the Bay…
We managed to find parking but the place was also crowded. Was everyone on leave??
It seems like a nice place but we didn’t let the kids play at the water play area as we planned to bring them to the pool later.. so the kids played at the dry playground…
There were quite a few areas to explore but the kids preferred the slides. Some areas were still under construction too.. We should come again another time.. hopefully when it’s less crowded..
After that, we brought the kids for a swim…
I didn’t join them so they spent some time bonding with their daddy.. actually, I think they were in the pool for more than 2 hours! I was watching k dramas while they had fun splashing about in the pool.. It was quite nice to be able to laze by the pool.. hopefully, we’ll have more chances to do so this year..
