Hong Kong March 2013 Part 2 @ Disneyland

We transferred to Hollywood Disneyland Hotel today but since we could only check in at 3pm, we deposited our luggage at the hotel 1st before we proceeded to Disneyland..

image

Waiting to check in

We had to take a shuttle bus to the theme park.. a rather short trip..

Didn’t expect it to be so crowded..
image
There was a bag check before we went in.. not sure what they were checking for though.. it took quite a while since there was quite a crowd..

When we entered the theme park at around 11am, there were people queuing up to take photos with Mickey and Minnie.. Jovan was initially interested so I went with him and joined the queue… it was a rather hot day and the queue didn’t seemed to be moving cos the 2 characters spent time mingling with those who took photos with them.. In the end, we gave up queuing.. even Jovan was tired of waiting..

image

Horsing around while mummy was in the queue..

image

There's a queue to take photos with Donald and Daisy too! But nah.. we're not gonna queue up...

We then made our way to Sleeping Beauty Castle!

image

Strike a pose first!

The first ride we took was on Dumbo the Flying Elephant!

image

Look! Even Mickey took a ride on Dumbo too!

After the ride, we went to watch Mickey’s PhilharMagic 3D show.. my boy must be afraid of the characters and objects flying towards him.. he actually cried after the show! Haha..
image

Look at the tear drop.. 😦

We then had lunch… expensive fare as expected.

image

Pasta, dim sum and jelly

Princess was tired and fell asleep soon after lunch..

I then brought my boy on the boat ride ‘it’s a small world’ while hubby stayed with princess..
image
After that, we moved on to watch the parade.. managed to get the kids to sit in front to have good view.. quite a spectacular show actually..
image

The princesses!

After the parade, we moved on to Toy Story Land, the latest addition to the theme park!

Will update this another day.. hee..

Hong Kong March 2013 Part 1 @ Kowloon, HK

This is actually the first time the 4 of us travelled together without our extended family..

The kids were excited about taking the plane again and going to Disneyland.. They happily posed for photos at the airport while waiting to board the plane..

image

They couldn’t wait to get onto the plane and watch cartoons on their ‘own tv’.

image

Is that our plane?

image

We each got a Shrek pencil case!

Luckily the kids were quite manageable on the plane although they were constantly irritating me! Thankfully, the flight was not too long! 🙂

We didn’t have time to do much on the 1st day cos it was rather late when we reached the hotel.. The room was really small and there was no bathtub.. However, it was nice and modern..

We took a short walk around the area before we had dinner.. After dinner, we went back to the room where hubby showered the kids while I made my way to the Hong Kong Coliseum for my ‘date’.. Hee.. Where can you find a man who would take care of your kids while you have some ‘me’ time with another man? Hee.. I found one! No, I didn’t go for a date with someone else.. I just went to watch a concert! Thanks, hubby, for taking care of the kids!

image

Great show!

Of cos the show was great! Can see he has put in a lot of hard and ‘heart’ work into the performance.. The show ended close to midnight so I had to rush to take the last train back to the hotel.. The kids were by then in dreamland..

The next day, we took the MTR to Mongkok to shop around.. The kids were excited to take the train..

image

image

image

The curious boy..

We managed to shop around in Mongkok after we took our brunch at one of the ‘char chan teng’..

image

Yummy local fare!

We went to Ladies’ Market and this was where Jovan asked for a toy gun.. sigh.. Boys never seem to get enough of guns! He already has so many at home!

image

See how happy my boy was!

We shopped around in a mall in Argyle Street before we took a break at BK.. Then we made our way to The Peak tram station to let the kids ride on the tram..

image

It's a fun ride!

image

Do we look cute?

image

OMG! Pierce Brosnan!

image

It's so cold and misty out here!

image

Authentic wanton noodles! Yummilicious!

We had delicious QQ wanton noodles before we went up to the observation deck.. we couldn’t see anything as it was very misty.. 😦

image

Brr.. It's so cold and we couldn't see anything from here.. 😦

We then decided to take a cab back to the hotel cos we were too tired/lazy to walk to the MTR Station.. As we had to take the Cross Harbour Tunnel, the taxi driver told us there would be a surcharge of HKD40..
image

According to the taxi driver, the tunnel is 2km long and 30m below sea level.. It was a new experience for us!

We asked him to drop us at a famous dessert shop instead of our hotel to try out some desserts.

image

Yummy mango based desserts!

The desserts were great! Jovan enjoyed it very much while Jocelle was sleeping in the stroller..
image

Yumzz..

Sleeping Beauty...

After that, we still managed to shop for a while at Temple Street before we walked back to the hotel..

We would be transferring to Hollywood Disneyland Hotel tomorrow!

Busy Saturday

It’s one of the working Saturdays for me today so took a long walk to the bus stop to take a direct bus to school.. I also took a long walk after I alighted cos I pressed the bell too soon.. Good exercise for me though.. hee.. Didn’t get hubby to send me cos I wanna save the hassle of settling the kids.. Let hubby do the job today.. hee..

He’s supposed to attend the ccc’s PTM at about 10am but didn’t manage to speak to the teachers as the ccc was crowded with parents.. He then sent the kids to Berries 1st, picked me from school, sent me home for a change of clothes, picked up the kids and then went back to the ccc.. By the time we were there, the teachers were all packing to go.. I managed to talk to Teacher Ina and the principal, Ms Tang, to find out more about the kids’ development. Didn’t stay for long as I know the teachers need to rest..

After that, we went to Baby Le Ann’s 1st birthday celebration.. Actually, she’s no longer a baby as she’s so chubby and she can already walk very well..

We reached there quite late so the kids missed the magic show and balloon sculpturing session.. We were just in time for the singing of the birthday song though..

image

Pretty & chubby birthday girl!

The theme of the party is Ladybug so the pretty star is dressed in polka dots!

image

The beautiful family!

Although the kids didn’t have the chance to watch the magic show or get a sculptured balloon, Jovan managed to try the hand painting.. He was very tempted and was observing the artist as she painted on the hands or face (only brave Kayden!) of the other kids.. After some encouraging and urging from the mummy, my brave boy finally stretched out his hand..

image

Let's see if it looks nice..

image

Adding some glitter to the painting

image

Can you tell what this is?

The boy was so proud of himself!

After that, the kids played with bubbles for a while before we moved on to my parents’ place.. The 2 of us took a short nap while the kiddos entertained themselves..

After that, we moved on to a house warming gathering at a colleague’s place.. The wife of this colleague is actually my ex-colleague from another school..

It was a nice place.. Very tempted to move but it’s not the right time now… be patient.. hee..

The kids went to the playground for a while and after the rest have left, we stayed on for a catch-up session.. It’s nice to be able to chat with them since I only get updates about their kids through FB.. Also, their 2 kids are of the same age as my 2 darlings so they would be schoolmates next time! It’ll be so fun!

The kids were also exhausted after the long day and were zonked out in the car.. But we still had to wake them up for a shower cos they were so sticky..

Another busy day tmr as we’ll be bringing them to watch Goldilocks and the Three Bears before their usual piano and dance class.. Looking forward though! 🙂

My kids have no shame

The kids hitched a ride on a mini carousel kiddy ride just now and when it stopped, my princess asked me if I had money.. I gave her a negative reply and immediately,  she turned to a lady with her grandchild and asked, “Auntie, 你有没有钱?”

I was so shocked that I immediately apologised to that lady for my girl’s appalling behaviour although she just smiled it off..

As if that was not embarrassing enough, my boy actually received some sweets from an older boy who just got some mentos from a vending machine!

My kids have no shame!

Note to Princess as she turns 3!

3 years ago, on this day, you seemed in a rush to meet us before the gynae reached the delivery ward.. or maybe mummy was too eager to add you to our family that I pushed you out a minute too soon.. Hee.. Thankfully,  the midwife was alerted soon enough to help deliver you..

It was truly a memorable and worthy push for me as you have been bringing so much joy to my life since then!

You cheer me up when I see or hear your infectious smiles and laughs after work. You make it all worthwhile.. My wish is for you to continue to bring smiles and positive energy to everyone around you..

You make me proud when you reason your way out of some mischief with your witty responses and comments.. My wish is for you to make use of your wit in useful ways for the benefit of one and all..

You make me laugh with your singing and dancing.. I’m glad you enjoy performing.. My wish is for you to have some means of de-stressing so you can cope with the stress and obstacles that you may encounter in life..

You make your bro’s life more interesting by being his constant playmate and ‘squabble’ mate.. I enjoy watching the 2 of you play with, fight with and fight for, share with, care for, miss, kiss and hug each other.. My wish is for you to continue to be there for each other even when we are no longer around..

On this day, I’m counting my blessings for having you in my life..

I hope you have enjoyed the simple programmes I’ve planned for you these few days and my wish is for you to be able to take every challenge that comes in your way in stride and enjoy life the way you do now..

Happy birthday, dear princess!

Pre-birthday celebration @ Kids Amaze Safra Toa Payoh

Met up with the regular group of friends to have another celebration since Princess Celestiel’s birthday is just one day before Jocelle’s..

The mummies had a great time catching up while the kids ran wild at the playground with their regular playmates..

image

So happy!

image

Not our party but we like the banner! Princess theme!

It’s a huge place so the kids were kept occupied for about 3 hours before we saw signs of hunger.. hee.. most of the eateries were packed so we had to queue for a while for a place to accommodate the 16 of us – 8 adults & 8 kids..

Meanwhile,  the kids tried to entertainment themselves…

image

image

We finally decided to settle our dinner at McDonald’s..

image

Adrian chose a HK cake with 2 characters cos there're 2 stars today

With the birthday girl! Both love Aurora!

Good friends!

image

Did everyone look at the camera??

The kids had great fun and wanted to go back to the playground after dinner.. I guess all fell asleep in the car on the way back.. haha..

Thanks all for joining us in the celebration as well as the presents for my princess! We didn’t mean for you to get presents actually.. Just wanted the kids to have fun at the playground.. Your presence is really the greatest present!

Pre-birthday celebration @ ccc

Was slightly late for their tea break at the ccc.. when I reached,  the kids were already waiting at their tables for the cake..

All had their party hats on while my princess waited for her tiara which was with me.. Look at how happy they were!
